Santé – La douleur et comment elle affecte le comportement (épisode 2)

Voici une chienne. Une chienne adorée. Cette chienne (appelons-la Chérie) est avec sa maman et son papa depuis de nombreuses années. Une gentille chienne. Mais maintenant, il y a des bébés. L'un d'eux est un tout-petit qui commence à courir partout. Maman et Papa les trouvent mignons, et quand le petit garçon prend son jouet, Chérie est patiente avec lui.

Mais ils ne voient pas comment il saute sur elle, comment il la tire, comment elle ne peut pas s'allonger sur son lit sans qu'il la dérange. Et ils ne le voient pas parce qu'il y a un nouveau bébé à la maison. 😒😒😒 Que peut-être, il y a de la douleur associée!

Est-ce que l'arthrite a déjà commencé dans ses articulations, par exemple ? Si elle peut parler, est-ce qu'elle dirait : « Quand je suis grincheuse, ce n'est pas parce que je suis méchante. »

 N'hésitez pas à consulter le vétérinaire si vous constatez des changements dans le tempérament et le comportement de votre animal. Demandez à un spécialiste en comportement d'évaluer votre animal avant de décider qu'il est trop difficile à garder. Tenez compte de l'âge de votre animal et du fait qu'avec l'âge, il se sentira différent.

Here is a dog. A beloved dog. This dog (let us call her Sweetie) has been with her mama and her papa for many years. A good dog. But now there are babies. One of these is a toddler who has started to run around. Mama and Papa think they are cute, and when the boy takes her toy, Sweetie is patient with him. But they don’t see how he jumps on her, how he pulls at me, how I can’t lie down on my bed without him bothering me. And they don’t see it because there is a new baby in the house.

And they don’t know that arthritis has already begun in my joints. How could they? I can’t tell them.

When I am grumpy, it isn’t because I am vicious. Please, ask the vet if you see changes in your pet’s temperament and behaviour. Please ask a specialist in training to assess your pet before deciding they are too difficult to keep. Please consider the age of your pet and that, as they age, they will feel different.
